The problem with Quentin Tarantino is that he
is too obssessed with staying within any genre that he cannot portray
reality like Jarmusch, Hong Sang-Soo, Rohmer, Chabrol. His philosophy is
built on trashy movies therefore have no relevance to reality. He
probably has never contemplated about the relationship between fiction
and reality, e.g. how fiction influences reality and reality influences
fiction. He is too obssessed with good storytelling that he can never
portray anything where nothing significant or spectacular happens.
